CROESO 2026 was hosted by the Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID),Nagpur on 24th August 2026, to welcome the new batch of students (2026–30). The event was held in the campus auditorium from 4:00 PM and brought together students, faculty, and staff for an evening of celebration. The program began with a warm welcome speech by senior students, followed by an inspiring address by Director Dr. Meeta Siddhu, who encouraged the fresher’s to embrace their journey at SID with enthusiasm and dedication. The cultural segment featured diverse performances including dance, music and a fashion show, offering a glimpse of the students’ creativity and talent.
Prarambh 2026 was designed to provide newly admitted students with a structured introduction to the institute, academic systems, programmes, campus resources and student life. The programme also aimed to encourage early engagement with design disciplines through interactive activities, strengthen peer and faculty interaction, introduce institutional rules and support systems, promote physical and emotional wellbeing, and provide hands-on exposure to material, making and product development through the Bamboo Workshop.
The Handloom Sutra 2026 was organised by Symbiosis Institute of Design, Nagpur, in collaboration with the Weavers Service Centre, Nagpur, under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, and L.A.D. & Smt. R.P. College for Women, Nagpur, as part of the National Handloom Day celebration. The event aimed to sensitise students towards India's diverse handloom traditions and highlight their contemporary relevance within the design, fashion, and textile sectors.
The COSSART Flea Market organized at the campus of SIU, Nagpur, transformed the institute into a vibrant hub of creativity, entrepreneurship, and cultural engagement. The event served as a dynamic platform where students demonstrated their design capabilities, entrepreneurial spirit, and collaborative skills while interacting with a real audience. The occasion was particularly significant as it marked an important milestone in the institute’s journey with the formal announcement of the change of name from Symbiosis School of Planning Architecture and Design, Nagpur (SSPAD) to Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID), Nagpur. This transition reflected the institute’s evolving vision and its commitment to strengthening its identity as a dedicated institution for design education.
The Convocation Ceremony marks the culmination of your academic journey and is a significant time for students to celebrate their accomplishments. Steeped in symbolism and tradition, this ceremony officially defines the completion of the rigorous time students spend at the University, setting a strong foundation for their future professional and personal endeavors. The 22ⁿᵈ Convocation ceremony is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 20, 2025, and will be held at the Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Lavale, Pune Campus.
