Dr. Meeta Siddhu is a seasoned academician and researcher bringing over 20 years of pan-India experience in education, training, and curriculum development. She holds a Ph.D. and Master’s from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara, Gujarat. Having led diverse teams across premier institutions, she brings a rich, holistic perspective to academics and institutional growth. Her work lies at the intersection of design education, fashion and textiles, traditional crafts, sustainability, and curriculum innovation.
Her expertise spans the complete educational ecosystem from early education to higher education and professional continuing education programmes. Dr.Siddhu has been instrumental in developing robust curricula and digital resources for vocational education under apparel and home furnishing sector skill council, introducing innovative contemporary courses and spearheading comprehensive faculty training workshops as part of her engagement with Army Institute of Fashion and Design, Bengaluru and Pandit Sundarlal Sharma Central Institute of Vocational Education (a constituent body of Ministry of Human Resource Development). A strong advocate for student centric and experiential learning, she has also successfully conceptualized national conference and immersive design bootcamps to elevate student outcomes. She has also led her teams for signing MoUs with Premier educational and training Institutions for faculty development, Joint research and training
Underpinning her academic and administrative leadership is a deep commitment to applied research, highlighted by her recently awarded formal design registration and her participation in numerous national and international conferences
